month, YOU, and County Party Chairs, elected officials, grassroots organizers and interested Democrats meet for dinner and fellowship, sharing information and discussing issues to strengthen our County and District Democratic parties.

BCDP has elected to help prep and serve food every second Wednesday, 9:30 AM to 1PM. Three to 5 volunteers are needed each shift (we have 3 "regulars"). The residents and staff are very appreciative and the volunteers find the time spent very rewarding.

Contact Kate Elliott kelliott0909@charter.net to sign up for a shift. Precinct Chairs, how about each of you taking one month's shift and finding those 3-5 people to help. We will have t-shirts for all Vols-$12.00 each.

Sat., Jun. 4, 11:00am - 4:00pm:  Democratic Headquarters Open.
 
Headquarters will be open to assist voters with information on Democratic Congressional District 11 candidates, Judge races and 1/4 cent sales tax vote for June 7 Primary. Also, to assist with information for the November 8 General Election.  Democratic Headquarters, 500 Mill St., Sylva.

Thu., May 26:  Early Voting Begins! 
Early voting for the June 7th Primary election will take place on May 26, May 27, May 31, June 1, June 2, June 3 and June 4 (half-day). 
One-Stop Voter Registration (register and vote on the same day) WILL be available at early voting locations.  Early voting locations are the same as in March: Jackson County Board of Elections Office – 876 Skyland Dr., #1, Sylva, NC  28779; Cashiers Recreation Center – 355 Frank Allen Rd., Cashiers, NC  28717; Cullowhee Recreation Center – 88 Cullowhee Mountain Rd., Cullowhee, NC  28723; and Wolftown Community Gym, 28 Long Branch, Cherokee, NC  28719.
