Each month, YOU, and County Party Chairs, elected officials, grassroots organizers and interested Democrats meet for dinner and fellowship, sharing information and discussing issues to strengthen our County and District Democratic parties.

Jackson County

Sat., Feb. 25, 12:00pm - 2:30pm:  JCDP Combined Annual Precinct Meeting.  JCDP Combined Annual Precinct Meetings beginning at 1pm preceded by hot dog fundraiser at noon.   All are invited to attend.  All precincts will meet at this event except  Cashiers Glenville and Canada will meet at alternate locations and times to be announced.  Following a brief general meeting, Democrats will break into individual precincts to elect Precinct officers and county convention delegates.  Family Resource Center (Old Webster School) 1528 Webster Rd., Webster.
Mon., Feb. 27, 6:30pm - 8:00pm:  Issues Roundtable.  Lots of planning going on.  The more minds we have, the better.  New voices are always welcome!  Democratic Headquarters, 500 Mill St., Sylva.  Optional dinner at 5:00pm at Bogarts, Sylva.
Tue., Feb. 28,
6:30pm - 8:00pm:  Democratic Men of Jackson County Meeting. Regular business and dinner meeting.  Mad Batter Food & Film, 617 W. Main St., Sylva.  Date is tentative. Please check with Jim Montsinger closer to the meeting date.

Health Care Town Hall

Featured speakers: Jackie Kiger, Pisgah Legal - Legal Issues Surrounding ACA Repeal; John Wingerter, Council on Aging - How Will Health Insurance Change if the ACA is Repealed; and Dr. Olson Huff, pediatrician and child development expert - The Medical Perspective - From the Front Lines

The purpose of the Town Hall is for citizens to share their stories about how the Affordable Care Act has changed their lives. Stories will be documented, and the experts on hand will answer questions.
